The only job I ever had as a lawyer is Trial Lawyer. I am proud of that title. I worked for insurance companies defending their customers – mostly physicians – for 25 years.
After having participated in around 100 trials and having personally taken more than 60 jury verdicts as the first chair lawyer, I am uniquely qualified to give something back to the civil litigation community and am the most qualified candidate for judge of the 55th Civil District Court.
My experience as an Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy at the University of Houston gives me valuable experience and insight into the trial process. I am happy to train the next generation of Trial Lawyers.
Trials – and especially jury trials – are the cornerstone of Democracy. Access to courts is a vital check on power in all forms. We need to access to the courts and fair trials for all litigants. I do what I can to enhance judicial independence. |
